My name is Jenny McHardy & I'm an award winning Textile Designer specialising in Knitwear.

Since graduating from The Royal College of Art in London, I have continued to work in the Textile Industry, teaching at School & Universities, whilst continuing as a practicing Designer through my label Nervous Stitch.

Nervous Stitch is situated in Fife, Scotland & sits within a 200 year old former hotel. This rural setting is a huge part of my inspiration and development for my designs.

Nature, colours and textures inform my palette & translate into my small batch/ limited edition collections.

My designs are made by hand powered knitting machines & hand finished to the highest standards, with my aim to create luxury Scottish knitwear which is ecological & sustainable whilst maintaining traditional knit techniques mixed with  modern contemporary designs.
